Bad experience with 2 staff members

Terrible experience with P.A. JENIECE GULLEY or DENISE GULLEY.

and Patricia tonight. I have never been treated this way by anyone in the medical field. I was seen at Doctors Care northeast in Columbia SC Tuesday. I called tonight to see if the physician had responded back to an email that another nurse sent over for me.

I got an x ray tech name Patrica first who speaking very professional but top of line sarcastic with her responses and told me maybe you should let your manager know youre a single mom and your situation . I asked to speak to a RN whom happened to be nasty disgusting confrontational JENIECE or DENISE GULLEY. She would not let me speak at all and told me I need to call back Monday for the manager thats not going to change anything for me and said I was being abusive which was a complete lie and stated shes going to be hanging up the phone, which she did each time I called. I was very calm, didnt raise my voice, nor once scold her at all.

She is very disgusting and needs to be fired from this field. I will be reaching out to HR to report her as well as Patrica. I called back and asked to speak with MS GULLEY and was told by Patrica she was busy I advised her I would hold and no one never came to the line.

I called back and got the receptionist and asked her for corporate information and I could hear someone in the background talking to her, the receptionist then told me to hold on and transferred me to MS GULLEY whom gave me the phone number of 803-782-****, I then proceeded to ask her about the response to the email again from the physician I seen she then responded by saying again I am not speaking with you due to abusive behavior and I am now hanging up the call and she hung up again. Something needs to seriously be done about this lady being in this field because she is rude, disgusting, disrespectful and beyond unprofessional and likes to be confrontational immediately.

Horrible experience

An online appointment was made. Upon arrival, we were placed at position one based on prompt arrival.

However, we spent a copay along with two and a half hours for NOTHING! The doctor didnt even touch my daughter and gave a bogus referral to a gastroenterologist. Bogus? Referred us after being in the room for two minutes based on one question and no check up, tests, scans or anything.

The referred doctor wouldnt even see my daughter because of her age. A waste of time, energy, mental capacity, and money. Not to mention, the inappropriate conversations that took place outside of the patient room.

The lack of cleanliness in the designated waiting areas was unsanitary. We walked out with the same issue and no help, not to mention the referral was not a real referral that could be accepted by a physician.

Poor treatment from rude nurse on phone

Doctors Care - Poor treatment from rude nurse on phone

I went to Little River, SC, Doctors Care and saw my usual PA but something felt off with her mannerisms, as she is usually pleasant. Prescribed Cefdinir which didnt work, and when I tried to call and explained, they refused to hear me out and did not ask questions.

The nurse on the phone was stern and rude and did not care that I am myself a doctor. The PA will eventually see that its not a good drug for sinus and ears when Augmentin ALWAYS cures it! I used Doctors Care online to have a telemed consult with an ACTUAL doctor, and he prescribed Augmentin.

I will not be going back in person. Horrible feeling about this place I really used to trust.

The process

My wife was having a hard time breathing. She has been a patient before, I asked them that I wanted to make an appointment for her later on, because the facility was very busy. Was told to make an APPOINTMENT on LINE, next available was 5:15Pm. Went to our car filled all the information for on line. Got stuck in the video waiting room. Same person , she unstuck us. When she looked and booked her at 2;15. Still an hour she hasnt seen her doctor

Complaint

Recently I was at Doctors Care in North Myrtle Beach, SC. I sat in the waiting room with my boyfriend for over an hour. Then I was called back to be tested for the flu and my vitals. I wasn't tested for Covid because I had been tested just a few days before I was there. Once I saw the doctor, he treated me like I was a junkie. I didn't feel like talking or sitting and my boyfriend was answering the questions for me. I will never go back there again!!!

Non hippa compliant

Lindsey, a PA at the Drs Care in Simpsonville discussed test results regarding an STD over the phone with someone who was not even a patient at that faciity. She not only broke HIPPA compliance, she gave misleading information. This was the WORST run clinic I have ever experienced. Not only unprofessional but broke the law.

Treated like a piece of garbage. Tech who did blood did not listen and I still have massive swelling and bruising from a simple blood test. Dirty and does not follow proper protocol. I cant believe they are still open. The board of health should shut them down.

Doctors Care - Poor treatment and service
Updated by user Jul 31, 2019

Didn't get me any support to walk with and knew I would not be able to use both feet. The service was very, very, poorly.

Original review Jul 31, 2019
In when into this office after a car door fell on my foot. The attending physician didn't take the time necessary to clean my wound. She didn't want to stitch it, which was needed to close the puncture. It still wide open..... called in because it was causing me after deal of pain, she didn't prescribed anything for pain. Got hung up on, doctor never came to the phone and was told me to go ER. I don't have a car and truly didn't want to call an ambulance, which would mean spending hours at the hospital. Don't go to Doctors Care for any type of treatment.

They didn't do anything to help me basically. This is how she left my foot, I send in the care that I received from ER ..... compared this to what doctor care did.... Nothing!!!! A blind person could see what was needed. I would like to be compensated for my anguish and pain doctor care caused me. An a apology.

I do not feel like going back again because the weather is horrible. Why do the idiots call and check on people if they can't help them, also I am just getting over a broken hip. I am going back in morning and believe me they are gonna want to shut me up.

Denied Care

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
11/22/18 My spouse cut her hand in Thanksgiving prep. Volume was light but we waited 40 minutes. It appeared they saw two later parties ahead of us, possibly due to lower acuity. No biggie. Despite the unexpected event, we were in high spirits. The P.A. (initials S.S.) appropriately introduced herself and her title. Being a physician, my spouse and I prefer a physician. I asked, “Is there a physician available, by chance?” The name of the clinic IS Doctors Care, after all. She stated that there was only a Physician Assistant. Turning to my wife, I said “Up to you.” She pondered a moment and then was stating that it was fine when the P.A.’s tone changed and she stated she didn’t feel comfortable and refused to provide care to her. All we did was ask a question. We didn’t insult her. We weren’t rude. As a patient with rights over her body, my wife was simply exploring her options. I work with P.A.s. They remind ME that their role and mission is to support their physician colleagues. This individual sought to, presumably out of spite over our audacity to seek a physician’s care, deny my wife treatment in a time-sensitive health matter. I hope that Palmetto Health is aware that this insecure individual is interacting with their (former in this case) patient’s this way. Beware if you have questions about your health options; you may be bruskly shown the door and denied care!

Services provided, billing

Brought daughter in for visit, had a previous balance which had to be paid in full, before she could be seen. I received a collection letter a WEEK later for the new visit which was also paid in full as required at the time she was seen. When I called the billing department to ask about it, the girl hung up on me when she realized she couldn't give me an answer or resolve the issue. I immediately called back and asked to speak with her supervisor. Her response was *** have a good day, BYE." This is ridiculous. This is a person who has access to mine and many others personal information and she behaves like this? STEER CLEAR of this company. They will double charge you and it seems there is nothing you can do about it. They also admitted to me that they charge double for visits that are billed to insurance companies so that the customer still has to pay just as much. To make matters worse, after all this, my daughter still has an ear infection.
